Weekend Party Picks: March 7 - 9 The March 8. Weekend Spectacular

party dyke queer lesbian nightlife events berlin weekend December

March 8 weekend babes. It's goddamn beautiful. Splendid. Scrumptious. And, like, important from a feminist perspective too I guess. Women's rights are great and all, my agenda is supporting their wrongs.

Fair warning that on March 8 a lot of places boast about their FLINTA* lineups and there's plenty of queer parties, but expect crowds to be pretty mixed across the board. Smaller, less trafficked clubs are less likely to draw out the dude-bros.

Friday 7.

Soft Landing

90 Mil

Over at 90 mil they're serving up a soli party to help community member Johnny Questions get back on his feet after a hit-and-run. And with typical flare they've got the finest, spiciest cabaret you ever did see and DJs to keep you on your feet until 2am - pro tip: don't miss Adam Munnings at midnight.

Slime

Mystery Location NK

Time for Slime: the cutest wee queer party that's all about community. With a DIY setup, the Slime residents on deck, and the ever-talented Thea Etcetera playing host, you can't beat a SLIME party for a night where you leave with an Instagram contact for half folks at the party (will you ever contact them? Irrelevant).

Unite in Pride: Feministischer Kampftag Special! x allesbien

Schwuz

Over at Schwuz Allesbien (the good folks who brought you dyke fest) are curating the house and disco floor to wring in March 8, and in the Pepsi Boston Bar you can chitchat and connect with an array of local FLINTA* artists.

Saturday 8.

ADIRA

Gretchen

Queer Arab pop party ADIRA celebrates its two-year anniversary with an all-Arab, all-FLINTA* lineup playing on two floors (DumTak, Hassandra, La Louuve, MEDUSSAR, Nourr and 3aissa): bringing you a range of genres blended with regional influences from across the Arab world, and alongside Baladi performance and workshop by Alexandre Paulikevitch.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY by Queer Garten & L-tunes

Weekend Club

Queer Garten and L-tunes brings a rooftop party with 2 floors and a host of familiar faces from across the FLINTA* party scene. Should be a good range of pop, house, disco and hip-hop for however you care to celebrate your feministischer Kampftag (you can also get a reduced price ticket with the Rabattcode partydyke, just saying.)

Body Language x OXI

OXI

Over at OXI the good folks of Body Language have an absolutely gorgeous lineup for you: ābnamā, Camilla Rae, Diamin, Maryisonacid, Souci... It's going to be absolute fire. House, techno, breaks, acid, electro - ringing of queer joy from start to finish. Body Language is usually very queer/femmes to the front, crowd could be a little mixed on this night though.

DISSIDENT

OHM

Over at OHM, Dissident is bringing a night of techno, hardgroove, electro, trance and punchy house from a lineup to kill: angelboy, Carly Zeng, JASSS, Majdolen & Rachel Noon, some of my local favorites. I expect the crowd won't be particularly queer on the night but the music, god damn, and Dissident never fails to bring out a sweet community of followers.

Girls Town

SO36

Girls Town: an institution of FLINTA* nightlife in Berlin is back at SO36 giving you pop, hip hop, dance classics and house music. SO36 has those cute school hall vibes, the crowd's going to be dykey as all hell, and if you don't run into your ex, their ex and your mutual ex, it'll be fab.
